FAQ

Here at Ana Motors Artane, we've been asked just about every question it is possible to ask a mechanic or garage technician. From "why are my brakes squeaking?" to "do I need to replace my car battery?". So, we thought we'd include some of the more common questions we get asked here at the garage.
1My Car is under Manufacturer’s Warranty – will it be affected if I get it serviced outside the main dealer?
In October 2003 European Union Legislation affecting the motor trade came into force. Its full title is 'Block Exemption Regulations 1400/2002' – in short 'BER'. This legislation changes the way cars may be serviced and repaired and gives motorists more freedom in their decision as to who should look after their cars. Now motorists can use the garage of their choice to service their cars without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty.
2Can you reset my service indicator?
Yes. We reset the service indicator on all cars.
3Is VAT included?
Yes. VAT is included in all prices we quote.
4Does your service replace items such as tyres, exhausts and timing belts?
No. These are items that typically do not need to be replaced as regularly as your vehicle needs to be serviced. At Ana Motors, Dublin 5, we specialise in delivering a top class, professional car service. We specialise in this so that we can offer you convenience and reliability. The benefit to you is that the amount of wasted time is reduced significantly. To find out more, visit the services section of our website or call us today on +35318470047
5What happens with waste oil and oil filters?
All of our waste oil and oil filters are recycled in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
6Do you have insurance?
Yes. All of our drivers are comprehensively insured. We also have Public Liability Insurance in place.
7Can I have a VAT receipt?
Yes. We issue full report and VAT invoice on completion.
8How can I pay?
We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, Laser and Cash.
9What does the NCT text check for?
The NCT test is a comprehensive check of your vehicle. Our recently published blog breaks down each of the core areas the test looks at.
10Do you have a loan car I can use when my car is getting serviced?
Yes, but you must have fully comprehensive insurance.
11How often should I check my levels under the bonnet?
We recommend you check your oil and water every 500 kilometres. However, this does vary from vehicle to vehicle and certain things, such as age and mileage play a big role.
